Course Description
Cake Decorating Beginners - This course is designed for anyone with little or no experience of cake decorating and for those of you who just want to have a go and see if it’s for you. You will learn some basic techniques to produce simple but effective cakes for all your family and friends. Cake Decorating Improvers/Cake Decorating Intermediate - This course is for anyone with some experience, who has completed a first steps course, or is just really keen to learn and extend their skills! You will be shown more ideas using various kinds of sugar to create cakes and models to wow your friends and family. Perfect & Quick Breads - Take a trip around the world to make three classic breads. From Irish Soda bread and Asian flatbreads to Indian paratha (quick style) you’ll make some diverse, no fuss and beautiful breads and take home some dough to inspire some more creations. Perfect Bakes - Start your baking journey by making some chocolate chip cookies and a lovely sponge cake with filling of your choice. Perfect for afternoon tea, a birthday celebration surprise or a weekend treat these great bakes will be guaranteed crowd-pleasers. Perfect & Quick Curry - Authentic flavours and spices fill this beautiful sweet potato and lentil curry. Versatile enough to ring seasonal changes, quick enough to be made mid- week this curry teamed with handmade flatbreads and harissa yoghurt will become an easy favourite. Perfect & Quick Mexican - Learn how to make a vibrant, fun Mexican feast that everyone will enjoy. We’ll make fajitas made with chicken or veggies packed with distinctive aromatic flavours, a fresh tomato salsa and a cooling guacamole. Perfect & Quick Italian - What could be more Italian than a creamy, comforting risotto served with a green salad and a straight-from-the-oven simple, homemade focaccia? Learn how to make these stress-free and versatile Italian classics that can be adapted for the best of the seasons. Perfect & Quick Pizza - Making your own pizza from scratch is easier than you think and tastes so much better than shop bought. Great to make with children or for a relaxed supper with friends, learn the basics of pizza-making and make your own dough to take home to experiment with more toppings of your own design. Sugar Modelling & Marzipan Figures - In this course you will learn how to model marzipan fruits and sugar Christmas motifs to get ready for your festive season. Sugar Modelling - Valentine's Themed - In this course you will learn how to model sugarcraft figures and motifs to decorate your Valentine's cakes or cupcakes using simple techniques which look stunning. Sugar Modelling - Spring Themed - In this course you will learn how to model sugarcraft flowers and motifs to decorate any cakes for special occasions. Come and be inspired! What is Flexitarian Cooking? - Flexitarianism is a plant-based diet that improves your health but still allows for the occasional meat dish. We’ll cook and learn about using protein packed foods like lentils, beans, peas, nuts and seeds in exchange for meat. If you want to try Meat Free Mondays or have vegetarians to cook for this course will help you on your way while being good for the planet and good for you. Gentle Movement for Healthy Living - This new course is suitable for older learners or those who prefer gentle movement. It will help tone muscles, improve balance, posture and mobility. Pilates - Pilates is an exercise for all ages. It's a way to destress and improve your level of flexibility and fitness. It develops strength and endurance, leading to good posture and a relaxed body and mind. Yoga - Improve your physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing through the practice of yoga.
