Pottery Summer School Week Intensive: This is a fun practical beginner’s course, which aims to give you an understanding of basic slabbuilding, coiling and simple slip decoration. You will have five days working on these techniques to really practice and master them, to produce a vase and 6 mugs with decoration. The course includes an evening glazing session later in the term to allow students to return and glaze their work from the summer.

Clay & Glazing Masterclass/Clay & Mark Making Masterclass/ Clay & Environment Masterclass:  This is a specialised ceramics course which covers in depth the methods of colour in ceramics. You will learn how to use colour in ceramics and many decorating techniques. This is a class for intermediate to advance level students as we will go in depth beyond just making ceramics.

Glazing Day: This is a one-day class that offers you the chance to glaze any unfinished work you might have made here during previous terms. This is an untutored class. You will need to have experience at least of one term-long ceramics course with us. You should feel comfortable using glazes without tuition. Technician support will be available.

Saturday Pottery: Have you always wanted to have a go at ceramics? Then this course is for you. This is a general ceramics course which covers different handbuilding methods & the potter’s wheel. You will also learn a variety of decorating and glazing techniques. This course is suitable for all levels.

Photography applied to Pottery: Have you made a pot that you are proud of? This course will help you to take powerful and professional looking images of your creations. We will look at lighting and composition to show off your work. Suitable for anyone with a camera or mobile phone. Please bring at least 1 piece to be photographed.
